Outreach & Missions
We will seek to reach out to those in our neighborhoods, communities, nation and the world as commanded by Christ Himself. We will put forth a determined effort to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in both word and deed by ministering, in the love of Jesus
Our Outreach and Missions ministry involves the entire church to fulfill its goals. Members of the church can serve as volunteers or can provide items and supplies that we can distribute. We welcome anyone who sees a need in the community to work with our Outreach & Missions Ministry to provide the needed assistance.
LOCAL MISSIONS
Valley believes in creating opportunities to serve and bless our local Westmoreland County Food Bank and help our neighbors in need. We have specific ministries we support, as well as our own initiatives that we spend your generous donations on.
GLOBAL MISSIONS
When Jesus commissioned his disciples before His ascension, He said, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
At Valley, we take this command of making disciples in all nations very seriously, which leads us to giving financial support to the work God is doing globally. We are actively involved in the support of various global missions through our Brethren Global Partners and in Haiti through Eagle Ministries.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Valley participates in Samaritan's Purse. Gift collections are started in September and the shoeboxes are packed and shipped each November.
This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. 15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
